How to Create a Date Archive Template
A Date Archive Template allows you to display posts based on a specific year, month, or day.
For example, you can show all posts published in 2025, July 2025, or any specific date in a well-designed layout instead of the default theme archive.
Steps to Create a Date Archive Template
Follow the steps below to create a date-based archive layout.
Step 1: Create a New Template
- Go to your WordPress Dashboard
- Navigate to: Dynific Addon Templates → Add New
- After creating the template, configure the required settings:
- Template Name; Enter a name for internal use.
- Page Layout: Select the layout wrapper for your template.
Then, click on Edit with Elementor button.

Step 2: Design the Template in Elementor
- Here you can start designing your layout by adding the Post Block Advanced widget from Dynific Addons to dynamically display posts on archive pages.
- Then, choose an existing Block Layout OR create a new one based on your design needs.
- Also, you can configure other settings like choosing the layout, skins, or adjusting the gaps.

Step 3: Preview Date Archive on Frontend
Once your template is ready:
- Visit a date archive URL.
- You’ll see posts filtered based on the selected year.
For example, below is a Year-based archive (2025) displaying posts from that year.
